"Bliss In" moments in eating

We have all heard the term "Blissed out", but what about "Bliss In" moments in eating. I am talking about the moment when you have a heaven on earth moment around food. When this happens, your auric fields expand, your chakras open and if you can stay in your body, you are having one of the most wonderful human experiences out there- total connection to the divine within and around you through your connection to food.
In my 30s, I spent a few years volunteering on a biodynamic farm in Albuquerque, New Mexico and got exposed to a wide variety of foods I did not grow up with. Each week we would have at least one item in our distribution that made me ponder, what do I do with purslane? burdock root? sunchokes?
Purslane has a citrusy, tangy flavor that goes great in salad, burdock root: add it to a broth for soup, sunchokes: double bake with some fig compote, or if pressed for time, grate raw over salad.

Sunchokes, by the way, also called Jerusalem artichokes are actually a tuber that grows well across the US, even here in the high desert. The beautiful yellow flowers will attract bugs, keeping bugs away from your kale and other green leafy vegetables.
Although incredibly high in essential minerals such as copper, phospherous, potasium and iron the most wonderful thing about sunchokes is the inulin which has pre-biotic qualities. I like to eat sunchokes raw, grating a little over salad, but you can also cook them as you would for any potato dish, but remember, less is more with this little beauty- too much can give you the runs.
I repeat: less is more with sun chokes: I don't recommend eating more than two sunchokes per sitting, as overdoing it can give you diarrhea.
Sun chokes and chakras

I literally screamed after swallowing the triple fried sunchoke shown above with fig compote. The poor waiter ran over to see if I was okay. I screamed because I was in a full BLISS IN moment. I can still recreate the full embodied, chakra opening experience when I think about this food item.
Sunchoke: When I eat sunchoke, my 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th chakras open.
Fig compote: When I eat fig compote, my 1st, 3rd and 4th chakras open, front and back.
Deep frying: I have heard that in parts of the Southern US, deep frying is a religion. But why is it so popular and how does it effect our chakras? I got to see first hand how eating fried foods opened up my friend Lucas' second and fifth chakras at another restaurant in San Fransico, when he ate potatoes fried in organic soy oil. This quiet man, immediately after eating the fries, started talking about how much he loved his wife. It was so sweet!
Put it all together: Triple Deep fried sunchoke with fig compote: "Bliss in" winner! 10/10 on the chakra expanding scale.
